Now days like the world situation of COVID-19 pandemic, Govt. of Bangladesh implemented social distancing through Lockdown countrywide. As a result huge number of worker, day labor, small business & lower income people are facing crisis for buying food & lost their working capital of business in Bangladesh. This crisis threatens everyone's way of life, but it is especially difficult for people who are already vulnerable, including those lost their business, older adults, wage workers, and those with inflexible jobs.

 

Due to poverty and low level of income most of the vulnerable, widow, distressed, displaced and orphan family could not manage their meal every day and for this reasons, the family members suffers malnutrition. Considering the situation, Nobo Jibon periodically arrange food parcel and distributed among the beneficiaries in the time of Covid-19 situation by maintaining the social distance so that the beneficiaries can observe the crisis time having nutritional food by its own fund. Also the ready food and the sanitization elements supply to the community people by door to door process.

Objectives of the Program:

 

Ø  Selection of the beneficiaries through baseline survey.

Ø  The main objective of the project is to distribute food among the poor and vulnerable having nutritious food.

Ø  Musk, Sanitizer, Hand Wash, Hygienic Support among the vulnerable people.

Major Activities of the Program:

 

Ø  Formation of project implementation team

Ø  Identification of target beneficiaries and prepare list

Ø  Procurement of food parcel

Ø  Procurement of food items, ready food, sanitizer, hand wash, musk etc.

Ø  Distribution of Food Parcel, ready food, sanitization elements among the beneficiaries by maintaining the social distance and door to door process.

Ø  Implement the awareness programmes to the community level.

Highlights of the Program:

 

Ø  Identified 7,000 beneficiary families for Food Parcel Distribution, package procured and distributed

Ø  Identified 4,500 people for the ready food, package procured and programme implemented

Ø  Identified 2,500 beneficiary families for sanitization elements as soap, hand sanitizer and hand wash, musk and distributed

Ø  Implement awareness programmes to the community level and about 1,620 people became benefited.
